Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Ünlüsoy
Sinan Ünlüsoy studied Archaeology and History of Art at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. He joined Yaşar University in 2012 after receiving his Ph.D. from the Institute of Prehistory at Tübingen University in 2009. Dr. Ünlüsoy has participated in several excavations and surveys in Turkey. His research interests include Bronze Age Archaeology of Aegean and Anatolia, Field Archaeology, Political Economy and Cultural Evolution of the ancient societies in the Mediterranean. He is currently directing the “Northern Tokat Archaeological Survey” project in the mid-Black Sea region of Anatolia.

Dr. Defne Gönenç
Defne Gönenç is a motivated and energetic political ecology researcher. She obtained her Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva, Switzerland, in 2018 with a minor in law. She received her M.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge in 2011 and her B.Sc. in International Relations from the Middle East Technical University, with a minor in economics in 2010. She participated in an exchange program at Sciences Po Paris. Her research interests cover environmental politics and justice, and the political economy of developing countries with a focus on Turkey, India and Greece.
