Fellowships and Internships

The Center for Mediterranean Studies offers students, recent graduates, and academics that are interested in Mediterranean affairs the opportunity to be based in our office at Yaşar University, Izmir for a short period.

The applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

 

Fellowship

If you are a pre/post-doctoral student or an academic and you want to undertake research about the Aegean or Mediterranean region, you can apply as a fellow. The fellowships are unpaid. The Center provides you with office space and access to the library during your stay in Izmir. The fellows are required to conduct their own research together with center personnel. The fellowships are offered up until 6 months.

Internship

If you are a bachelor’s or graduate level student and interested in gaining experience in Mediterranean affairs, you are welcome to apply to our internship program. The interns are offered a small stipend. The interns are required to work in cooperation with the center personnel on academic and administrative tasks.
